While public transportation options directly to Atalaya Castle are limited, you can reach Huntington Beach State Park (where Atalaya is located) by car. From Myrtle Beach, take US-17 South towards Murrells Inlet. Follow the signs for Huntington Beach State Park. Parking is available within the park for a fee.
